I guess I'm a bit nostalgic. Why else would I do this? (Because I can.)

I dream of better games. Games that put smiles on faces and make people say things like, "Did you fucking see that?! That was so fucking cool!" So I recall a bit of my childhood and a type of game that kept me entertained well into the darkness of night. Interactive fiction has been around forever and one of the earliest successes in mainstream games was Zork. Don’t know it? Here, have a read...

But I don’t want to merely repeat the past. (I do that just fine in other areas of my life, thanks.) I must add some new twist, some new bit of innovation. So why not take an old school game wrap an insanely successful social network around it and let people virally play across the web?

Yeah. Sounds cool.

I give you z0rk. Play it on Twitter. Better yet, make sure you have your cell phone setup as a device on your own Twitter account. Then you get to play from your cell phone via text messaging Tweets! Don’t know Twitter? Here, sign up...
